Day 671 Thursday November 8, 2018 920 Days to Go
Thursday, November 8 at 5 p.m.
Where:
Lewis F. Powell Jr. Federal Courthouse
Richmond, VA 23219
The last time I was part of a protest was October 15, 1969. I know because there’s a picture in my freshman college yearbook with a guy holding a sign with the date on it. I was the photographer for the yearbook on that day. Now, 39 years later I will be in another because our republic is at risk. This is bigger than 1969.
…
“Everything Trump Touches Dies” is the title of a book by Republican strategist Rick Wilson.
This includes our republic.
Trump is or has fired Robert Mueller.
He fired Jeff Session, the Attorney General yesterday. He put in his place a man who has said that Hillary Clinton should be indicted, that the Russian probe should be ended, that it could be done by firing Robert Mueller or by taking away Mueller’s budget.
Trump has said that they, the Special Prosecutor’s team, has found nothing. This is. like everything else Trump says, it is a lie. There have been over one hundred indictments so far, and we haven’t even gotten to the big fish.
What got me writing these screeds is a question that still hasn’t been answered and that question was there before the election, “What were the servers from a Russian bank directly connected to Putin doing communicating with servers in Trump
Tower?”
Trump says, “No collusion,” all the time. If there was no collusion (and no obstruction of justice) why is he trying to obstruct this investigation?
This is typical Trump lying and gas-lighting. To be clear gas-lighting is the telling someone what they are seeing is not in fact what they are seeing but something else.
If you like this country, if you believe in this countries’ principles, then it is time to stand up and be counted.
There are protests today at 5 pm across the country. Over 900 are planned.
Goto:
to find out where the closest protest to you can be found and show up. Be counted.
Mine is at The Federal Courthouse in downtown Richmond. I plan to be there.
