Day 544 Tuesday July 17, 2018 1,034 Days to Go
Well, yesterday was quite a day, the Helsinki Summit where president Trump distinguished himself in ways no other president has ever done before. Even most of the Fox News commentators were struggling to find the words. But rest assured Hillary and Obama are the fault!
I think we should embrace Trumpism. Vladimir had a terrific idea that Donald liked. Have their intelligence people work with ours to find out who really was behind the hacking of the Democratic party servers and accounts. Boffo! I’m for it. Let’s bring over all those nice Russian guys Mr. Mueller named to tell us what to look for. Let’s show them some hospitality. I know a good resort (kind of) that they can stay in while we sort this out.
I was thinking their are a lot of adjectives to describe Donald Trump that people use but “smart” is not one of them. Yes, Donald uses it, but no one else.
So how far will the Republicans go to protect him? How long will the base go on believing? It’s hard to say at the moment.
One thing that got little play but was brought up by Rachel is the fact that the Democratic game plan was stolen. This listed the potential voters and the plans to reach those voters. At about the time it was estimated that this was stolen was the same time the Trump campaign switched it’s advertising dollars. This is not mere coincidence. This is yet another circumstantial piece of evidence of collusion.
Trump wants to know where the servers are and so do I. The servers I want to know about are the ones in Trump Tower that were communicating with AlfaBank way back at the beginning of all this. What was all that data they were sending to the Trump campaign?
We are waiting for the U.S. citizen indictments. Every former prosecutor interviewed said this is text book of how you would do such an investigation and the indictments of U.S. citizens are probably the next shoes to drop. With that should be the smoking gun.
The Russian woman caught in the U.S. was working to infiltrate the NRA to gain influence and pass money to them to put into the campaign. Should the assets of the NRA be seized like any other RICO drug cartel? I think so.
Then there is Sasha Barron Cohen’s new series. It’s painful to watch. How could so many people be so easily duped with such preposterous ideas? Responsible four year olds with semi-automatic weapons? Really? He got Congressmen to endorse him and his phony program. What was that guy thinking when he was holding up a AR-15 with a dinosaur on the front saying something about letting kids handle such a weapon?
We have truly lost our collective mind.
Treason is “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.” Some say Trump has done that. Others say, “no, no – we aren’t at war. Can’t be treason.” Give me a break.
Oh and then Hugh Hewitt on one of the Sunday morning shows said Trump had one of the finest national security teams ever assembled: Pompeo, Bolton, and Coates. Pompeo and Bolton have shown their ability to turn tail and flip-flop quicker than you can say, “Kompromat.” Like Trump those two talk tough until it is their turn to act. Coates it the only real one in that group.
I think the woman who ran Hillary’s PR said it best about Trump, “Don’t look to deep. It’s right there.”
People who say, “he must know something we don’t,” or “he was a businessman so …” are fooling themselves. Hoping desperately, that they haven’t been hoodwinked. He ran the same sales campaign for president that he did for Trump University. He’s good at test marketing on the fly. “You like that? Okay, we’ll use it.” Is it true? Who cares? People like it. We’ll go with it.
